removed. This is too long because mostly the client discovers the pptp
session died , reconnects and tries to open the database file
again, which he can't because it's still locked.
My question is , what causes this timeout before the oplock is removed
and is this timeout configurable.
Thanks

I try to get smbpasswd adding users and passwd from script the following way :
smbpasswd -a -s
this used to work not to long ago , but now I get
a list with usage options back instead.
Currently using samba-3.0.11
What is the correct syntax for using smbpasswd with -s
option?

Hello,
Is there a mechanism in samba available to limit access
to workstations by users to only one at a time?
This is, that any given user can only be logged in at one
workstation at a time.

How can I make the printers visible in the

The printers are perfectly visible in the

Hello,
I've tried both samba-3.0.0beta2 and beta3 but
both give me the same problem.
When on a windows dekstop and trying to add
a printer with samba as the printserver , the
printers exported by the samba server are not
seen by the windows "add printer dialogue" e.g.:
relevant part of smb.conf:
-
ized user logins.
Is it possible to mix the good things
of samba-2.2.8a with samba-3.0 ? please.
TIA
