i'm having a problem trying to print to a windows xp shared printer through samba/cups.
my setup is: hp laserjet connected to winXp, shared. linux machine running samba 3.01, cups 1.1.20, same workgroup. i cannot find the printer/print through kde. when i try DEVICE_URI=smb://winxp/LaserJet smbspool 0 guest test 1 "" file i get failed tcon_X with NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED ERROR: Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED ERROR: Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds... however, using smbclient: smbclient //winxp/LaserJet -N -c "print file" works... how can i enable printing through smbspool? thanx aviv b.t.w. - please cc me in the reply (i'm not subscribed) __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
