I have never seen myself timeout problems (if they exist at all) on my
servers, but this is very specific related to a longer period of time the
word application not being used which generates the error on an open

Apparently the domain sid has changed to : NEW-SID , I try
to set NEW-SID back to OLD-SID with "net setlocalsid OLD-SID",
command net getlocalsid returns now : OLD-SID , instead of NEW-SID
I restored the groupmapping, so all entries in the groupmap list
I upgraded this weekend one of my sambaservers to 3.0.11
and the printer queue problem seems to have gone.

I have a Redhat linux system which I have compliled samba-2.2.8a-1.i386 on.
I want to authenticate a share on a linux server with a windows 2000 domain
controller(mixed mode). Samba alone works fine authenticating against
