Hi,
We have an interdomain trust between Samba and Windows 2003 AD. A Samba
users should use Terminal Services in AD Domain. Is there a possibility to
set a Samba user for Terminal server use? The only solution I see is to
set the user to Domain Admin, but that is not a preferred solution due to

Hi all,
I must establish a domain trust between a Samba and Windows 2003 domain.
I'm using Samba 3.0.21b with LDAP backend (no Winbind, no kerberos).
The domains are in differrent networks and between are some firewalls
(ports and services are already configured).
The first task for me is to c
Hi,
We are using Samba 3.0.21a as with LDAP as PDC. User must change their
password every 30 days and the password history is 24 months.
Whenever users are forced to change their passwords, something strange
happens.
When users change their domain password, the private keys on all imported

Hi,
We are using a PDC (Primary LDAP) and BDC (Replica LDAP). Changing
password on PDC works fine, but no way when users are logged on BDC. The
truth is that PDC and BDC are configured with passdb backend =
ldapsam:ldap://127.0.0.1/. The users get the message like "You are not

Hi,
I had a similar problem with groups. After I've tried every know
possibility that I knew, I have just copied the data from the TEST LDAP
PDC server which was a Celeron 433 with 128 MB of RAM to a production
server Xeon 2.4 with 2GB of RAM. Surprisingly everything works fine now on

Hi,
I was wondering if a Samba BDC should be able to create users and computer
accounts when connecting to a LDAP PDC server? Should the add scripT lines
be included in a BDC's smb.conf file?
Normally, as far I know, BDC should just log on users. Or am I wrong?
Thanks,

You can do everything you want with the poledit, but you must create the
.pol file file by yourself. There is a tool named Policy Template Editor,
which allows you to create any policy setting you want, if you know how
to use the win registry.

Hi,
Yes everything works fine.
The net groupmap list shows everything like it should be and also when I
execute the command
ldapsearch -x -h localhost -b "ou=Groups,dc=r-kb,dc=si" the output is ok.
The only issue I think is bdb_equality_candidates: (sambaGroupType)
index_param failed (18). I
Hi,
I have managed to configure Samba+LDAP+smbldap-tools. Everything works
fine, except one strange problem is appearing.
When I connect with Windows tool UserManagerForDomains or I want to create
a share on a Wndows box I can see the users but no groups.
With UserManagerForDomains is see fo
