samba domain logon to win2k domain without any problems. However when I
try to add to win2k group any group from samba domain windows returns

Hello all!
I use samba 3.0.4 with ldap backend.
I've set
guest account = guest
and
map to guest = bad user
But samba still uses nobody as guest account. samba 2.2.8a worked fine.
Is it a bug?

Hello!
Recently I've migrated from samba 2.2.8a to 3.0.4. I use ldap as user
database backend.
To synchronize unix password the smbldap-passwd.pl script is used. But I
need to sync virtual mail passwords as well.
That is why I added to the script few lines of code. Mainly I call

Domain is up and running. I can add users and they can change passwords.
Problem occurred when I tried to add machine account.
add machine script works fine (unix user created) but samba can not
modify entry. LDAP permissions are proper.
If you have any idea welcomed.
Thank you

According to man smb.conf if ldap filter is not set then dafault used
Default: /ldap

Hello!
I've discovered that setting min password length in smb.conf file it
is not enough when user changes password with windows change password
dialog, also its necessary to change account policy with pdbedit -P min
password length -C 4
Is that desired behavior to set same parameter twice?

Hi all!
I have NT BOGUS based on Samba 2.2.8a, named BOGUS. Samba acts as
PDC(BOGUS),LMB,DMB,WINS. In BOGUS I have machines from both 192.168.1.0
and 192.168.2.0 subnets. For the BOGUS browsing works just fine.
