Well, I guess it is important to find out why net use and nmbd don't work.
That might explain why you are having this problem.
Now, what is the first test to fail? (Specify the number and what you have
done to try to fix it.)

Yes I have performed all the tests except the
nmblockup test due to I dont have that file.

I have problem connecting a win 98 client to a samba
2.2.5 server on a linux box running redhat 7.2
I can see the server on the client but when I click
the server icon I get \\lindoze is no accessible.
