Thanks, I got it working, I was using the options wrong. I only have one
last glitch with my domain and thats making a different user that can join
computers to the domain. I have tried everything I could think of. Like
adding the user to all the different groups. But just cant seem to get it
work

Works here with 3.0.23d - "hide files = /*.pst/". Remember it's case sensitive
and will also affect performance

This isnt what I was looking for, I still want to be able to access the
folders. I just dont want to see it unless view all is turned on in windows.
I am storing the users outlook files on there mapped drive but I dont want
them to delete by mistake.

If you want to hide a folder (or file), in share section use the entry like
veto files = /folder_name/ /second_folder_name/ /lost+found /aquota.group/
Read the manpage of the smb.conf about this entry!

I have setup samba 3.0.10-1 on my Centos 4 system. I have setup samba to
make a share of a FAT32 filesystem. When I want to write to this shared
resource from a windows XP machine to change the hidden file attribute, I
get the following error: 'access denied'.
