Jason,
We have gone over a few things already. You are using WINS, that means
your MS Windows clients should not have any trouble finding your samba
server and the services that run on it.
The only time I have seen similar behaviour, given that everything is
correctly configured from a Samba and
Could anybody please help? I have tried all sorts and nothing will fix the problem permamently.

Hi
Just got this quote from the Samba-BDC-HOWTO,
"Note that in the latest Samba 2.2.x releases, the machine SID (and
therefore domain SID) is stored in the private/secrets.tdb database"
Therefore you might have had a new secrets.tdb generated depending on how
you upgraded. Which probably means yo

at the client it says: logonserver=\\

Hi,
I would want Samba shares to be automatically mounted as logicals drives
on win9x machines.
For this i try to use KIXTART (http://www.kixtart.org), a logon script
processor for Windows.
The advantage is that a unique login script may be used for all the
users.
The shares need to be mounted a

Hello folks,
I'm setting up a file server, using RedHat 7.2, and Samba 2.2.3a. Everything is working fine, except for login scripts. I created a netlogon directory
/home/netlogon
and set the path in the smb.conf file to point to it. I also gave it the appropriate file permissions, but when I log
