Hi all: Recently I installed samba 2.2.4 precompiled version on Solaris 8 (Sparc). I configured for security=user, my unix users are on smbpasswd file also. The real problem is when my users try to connect to the samba server. >From a command windows the received a system error 5... snoop from the sambaserver prints out "... protocolneg.." and on windows the can't login. I switched from security=user to security=share... always received error 5. The wierd thing is with smbclient I already have access to the windows shares... PD: I have already applied the regs. keys.
