I just got this one again and had another look through the log file and found this. [2007/01/21 21:42:31, 0] lib/util_sock.c:read_data(534) read_data: read failure for 4 bytes to client 10.0.2.88. Error = Operation timed out A quick search shows it happens a number of times and always for 4 bytes. I am guessing this corresponds with the failures to log in and out..
