I´ve had this problem to.
put a # in front of profile acls = yes
I think the behavior of this changed from 3.0.14 to 3.0.20

Many thanks - I've made the change and the profile now loads ...but the
profile will not permit changes. e.g. Recycle Bin is inaccessible, and
desktop wallpapers/themes are not saveable???
Any ideas what might be causing this new problem?
