I believe your below questions are referring to the additional 1200 Linux
systems that you are going to be adding. If they are, then here is some
potential answers for you...
1) LDAP, on Linux look for OpenLDAP (Lightweight Directory Access
Protocol.) if you are familiar with MS Active
