Diogo, The administration is not necessarily a big pain in the rear, the initial configuration and figuring out how all the pieces go together is the pain in the rear. Once it is up and running, it is very solid and performs quite well.
There are a few minor things that set it apart from an actual Windows DC, but that is to be expected since it isn't a Windows PD. However, I understand that many of those niggling issues will be worked out in the next major release of Samba. In the meantime, you can get used to the differences and may find that they are nowhere near being a "pain in the ass."
