I just can't
say how impressed I am about the work you are putting into
this.
I'm going to
sugest a client of mine to replace an Adv.Serv. installation with
Samba.
This just
makes me more convinced that that is the right thing to
do...
So, if one creates a small batch file like :
$10:
$ create somefile.tmp
$ wait 00:00:10
$ delete somefile.tmp
$ wait 00:00:10
$ goto 10
(on each volume with Samba files)
that would make Samba see the DCL rename ?

If I exit smbpasswd with ctrl-C at any of the
password-prompts, I have to do SET TERM/ECHO
blind before I get any output back on my
terminal.
Is this expected ?
And another thing about the smdpasswd file...
I'v never realy understod if this file is a *must*
to use SAMBA. Doesn't SAMBA use

I connect to my user directory on the server.
I can see all files in Windows Explorer.
I can type and edit from a DOS window.
I can open a PS file in Ghostview.
I can open a PDF file with Acrobat Reader.
I can *not* open the file with
