I have a problem report from one of my Samba share users. They displayed the ASCII contents of an application program (.BAS) using the 4DOS List command.
The user than performed Other PC workstation operations unrelated to the specific .BAS file. When they subsequently went looking for the file that had been listed, it was no longer present on the directory. Problem not reproducible. Alpha/Samba V2.2.8 release 20041021 plus subsequent patches. OpenVMS/Alpha V7.3-2 w/patches, TCPIP 5.4 ECO 2. This report is supplied to primary make users and developers aware of an anomaly, in the hope that others may contribute related reports that would permit subsequent troubleshooting.
