Another possible starting point is this standalone scanner code, if the two
machines
communicate in similar ways. That code doesn't know anything about push
scan or
post imprinting, and the only way I can imagine how to figure that out is
by observing
what an existing (Windows?) driver does. Which
I can think of a few options:
1. There are three panasonic backends in sane already, perhaps one of
them could be modified to support this machine:

2. Contact Panasonic, and ask them to make the modifications or give
away the source
