[sane-devel] New Backend for LM9832 chipset, specifically the HP2200c.

Hi again, I'm sure that the backend is well designed and will do its job. But the prob is, that the Plustek backend already has a lot of hooks and possibilities to control LM983x based devices as well. The EPSON 1250 is already included also the HP2200C/2100C and reported as working - so why doing

Hi, Agreed, one backend should be enough for all lm9832-scanners. During the development of this backend I did look at other backends. I worked partly together with the people at sourceforge. The problem was that their driver was swapped with unused code and ancient relics of other scanners. Secon

Hi Erik, I retired using your recommendation and it doesn't help much. Looks like the SANEI_DEBUG_SANEI_SCSI doesn't produces much output, but I do see some low level in /var/log/message ( I did a tail -f /var/log/message before I start sane): Apr 5 13:23:49 localhost kernel: __alloc_pages:

Wow another attempt to make LM983x based devices work ;-) I'm a little bit confused about this, as I thought that there are still three or four other similar backends: HP2200C on sourceforge (also EPSON1250) two attempts for CANON (CANON N650U and 670) Plustek backend (for all Plustek LM9831/2, HP2

Hi everybody, I like to announce the release of a backend for the HP2200C scanjet. This scanner is equiped with a LM9832-scanner-on-a-chip. This chip is also part of the Epson 1250 and verious canon scanners. The backend is developed for the HP, but at this moment work is being done at porting
