Hi.
Yesterday I released a new version of the Avision backend. I go
positive as well as negative feedback from hp5370c people. So it might
work for some scan-windows - but not for all.
Here is (again) the content of the email:
Important: I'm currently only connected via an old v.90 modem using

Hallo mailingliste,
Habe einen MD9890 (mustek_pp) unter Suse8.1 doch noch zum laufen
geracht.
Die Anleitung von Eddy war super. Danke für den Service.
Was leider nicht funktioniert ist xsane als user zu starten.
Hier bin ich der Sane-Network Anleitung gefolgt und habe alle
parameter abgeändert.

Is it possible that sane looks in another folder find usb.h an then it=20=

Thanks for the prompt reply Frank:
SANE is released under GPL plus an exception. But basically if your
product doesn't go outside your company, you can do whatever you want
and you don't have to give your changes back. However giving some

Hello Frank,
when the backend defines the resolution as list and not as range

Hi.. I'm planing to buy this scanner, Genius' HR7X Slim. Does anyone know
if this is scanner is supported by the plustek backend, just like HR6,
HR6A, HR6X, HR7 and HR7LE ?
And what about the HR6X Slim? Is this scanner the same as the regular HR6X?
Best regards
Rodrigo.

sorry, bu I forgot that this an international mailinglist.
I did edit saned.conf and net.conf in line with the sane network

I did not change anythin on etc/hosts.deny or .allow
As Henning has already pointed out: you must configure inetd to run
saned on the SANE port, as described
--oyUTqETQ0mS9luUI

Content-Disposition: inline
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
I just finished installed RH 8.0, connected my scanner, edited two
files and had my scanner working.
I commented out all backends in /etc/sane.d/dll.conf besides
--Nq2Wo0NMKNjxTN9z
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
Content-Disposition: inline
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Also, remove the Sane 1.0.5 you installed, and go back to the
1.0.8 version that came with RH 8.0.
