This results in a 986K blank image... (By that I mean it is as if I have
scanned a completely white page or something - while the test-

It seems so!
Check scanimage mapage for the parameters, if called
without parameter, the backend uses the internal defaults...

Well it seems to make a lot of difference!
I've tried to scan twice without the acquire preview but using the start
scan button from the main window and both ti

The Linux USB id list shows:
0x04a5 = Acer Peripherals Inc.
0x20b0 = S2W 3300U/4300U

the scanner is run to the middle, stoped an comes back.

Thanx

Scanimage itsself does not provide this option. To scan something,
use "scanimage -d ... -other options >image.pnm".
Bye,

There is one question such question in the archive but no answer, so:
Anybody knows if there is planned back-end support for the HP 3500c ?
Thanks,

Hi Raphael,
can you tell me which version you're using (sane + backend)?
Can you also send me the debug output (enabled by using
export SANE_DEBUG_PLUSTEK=3D12)?
Never saw this problem here on my N650U, you might use
the latest backend code (0.45-TEST3) from www.gjaeger.de
Cheers
