Hello all, I recently started using Linux, and have been trying to get my scanner to work for quite some time. I have an HP ScanJet 5300c. I am running sane 1.0.18 and sane-frontends 1.0.14. The sane website says that this scanner is fully supported. I have been able to find it with

Using Debian 3.1 with kernels at 2.4.27 Attaching Minolta Dimage Dual Scan over a SCSI interface AHA 2940UW which is working. after the apt-get, the scanner cannot be found. There is no dev/scanner in this release of Debian... I am not sure which device is supposed to be a scanner. There
