The experimental coolscan3 driver, which is a slightly retouched
coolscan2 plus infrared, can be found here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=187512
along with the necessary tiffscan frontend to use it.
example usage:
tiffscan --device ... --scan --autofocus=yes --a

When I call sane_start() it returns SANE_STATUS_INVAL (4). This happens both
when I use the API and the scanimage binary.
scanimage -L reveals:
device `v4l:/dev/video0' is a Noname Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 virtual device
