Last week, I posted a message to this list describing a problem where
scanimage would not recognize my Hewlett-Packard Scanjet 3570c scanner.
It turned out that the problem was that I had compiled SANE without
libusb support enabled. Once I grabbed the libusb-devel package from

I did some additional reading - is there a SANE version for Windows yet
? I have a parallel port G85xi connected to WindowsXP and I would like
to control the Scanning feature from another Windows XP PC. Is this
possible with SANE ?

in the meantime we found the bug, some assignments got
lost during some merge window. I'll commit the a fix to
CVS today.
