the samsung scx-4200 works with the xerox mfp backend, i suspect that this driver will work for other samsung's too. Perhaps it would be wise to make it the default (samsung's proprietary driver performs ugly hacks .. so as long as users can install that one if this fails...) then more feedback sho

Hi little girl, sorry, I have no clue about this. Maybe recreate the xsane package and reinstallation could be helpful? I do not know whether sane relies on ghostscript to generate postscript / pdf or whether it has it's own pdf creator. Hopefully Julien has a clue what to do Take care
