I would like to scan 35 mm negatives, but the preview, when I use the

have a bigger size with the transparency unit?
At least

Lets drop that idea for now. It is a roadblock to release.

Hi ,
I'm trying to get Epson DX-4400 working on my sane scanner-server.
But it gets not found by scanimage -L.
sane-find-scanner returns:
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04b8 [Language Error], product=0x083f [Language
Error]) at libusb:001:002
What do the Language Errors mean?
Is there some
it is supported by the external epkowa backend:

unfortunately, this requires a proprietary, binary plugin to work,
which the vendor does not provide for your ARM system. Isn't
pseudo-free software wonderful?

Yes- this does sound like a good idea. Can you modify the code which
parses the .desc files and produces that list? Or perhaps gather this
data for the scanners we already know about?

Yea thanks guys for all the support so far, if you are interested there
are scans available on the project website. As soon as the
brightness/red colour is sorted i should (hopefully) be in a position to
release to the development. From reading the lists I think we are

Allan,
Yes I may be able to find some time to do this, though gathering the
data might prove to be time consuming.
I don't know how to modify the code which prases the .desc, but I'm
willing to learn. Could you show me how?
Thanks,
