It's great to have Xsane up and working, but I keep noticing that the necessity to select the default device is annoying. When Xsane starts, the opening dialog offers a v4l device (my webcam which I will never use with sane) and the scanner that I am using. Is there any way to configure Xsane

Hi Folks: I can run xsane as root with no problems but as a non-root user it does not find my hp8500 wireless scanner. Is this a device file permissions issue? I need some help determining which device file to chmod. My setup is: Fedora 13, hp8500 officejet pro w/wifi interface. Thanks very
