Hi,
I seem to recall that older RedHat versions (or kernel versions,
or both?) even had symlinks like
/usr/include/linux -> /usr/src/linux/include/linux and
/usr/include/asm -> /usr/src/linux/include/asm
Older means here probably RH 4.x and kernel 1.2.
So maybe it is still correct to use all kernel includes instead
of the corresponding glibc includes.

. I
would be glad to hear from you :-)
Also, this of course needs many, many testers. Please test it
and send me comments.
This is usable right now for me, but is still far from a
complete backend.

Yes, at least the Acer ScanWit loads the film strip
automatically, then it can position it and scan any frame
pointed to by the software.

Here comes my question: How should I write the letter to achieve
maximal possible success? Are there any guidelines of leading

Thanks in advance,

cted, as well
as the scanner, and VueScan sees the scanner, but if I press the
Preview button VueScan hangs. After that the kernel starts
complaining about "aborting command due to timeout", resetting
bus etc...
Trying the atp870u.c from the link above did not succeed: it
does not comp
ource support for ScanWit? Or this is too
hard, or this is ``reverse engineering'' and so unlawful, or
what?
ScanWit is (according to the Net) an excellent scanner,
especially for the price, and it is a pity there is no support
for it...
Happy New Year, and sorry for possible off-topic,
