ne-usb.
I think the i1320 does not uses the avision protocol, so i'll stick to
the other code, generated with snoopusb2libusb. I'll try to post the
code this same week, for anyone interested.
If you want to see the no-sane code, just drop me a line.

way to make
it turn off, even if I don't run xsane? Right now my alternatives are
either run xsane everytime I turn the computer on, or just keep the
scanner unplugged most of the time.

t cases you
can't upgrade the kernel without upgrading udev to a version known to
work with that kernel.
- newer versions of udev don't use a separate hotplug package.
Uninstall hotplug if you have it.
- sane includes a set of udev rules in tools/udev. Make sure you're
using thos

If you have the kde libs installed, kdbg is a nice frontend to gdb too.

y 2480 is changing to 5.5cm by 7.5cm (judging from the preview
window). Debug log attached.
BTW, is this correct:
$ sane-config --version
1.0.16
I installed today's cvs over 1.0.16; I did 'make uninstall' first.
Please let me know how I can be of help.

I just wanted to confirm that in the jul-31 snapshot, the preview area
is wrong for the 2480, and should be restored to what it was.

everything correctly, and xsane
doesn't complain anymore.

I have been unable to figure out why those libs are not being
installed. Any pointers are highly appreciated.I have put a full build
log in http://thewizardstower.org/sane.log.
