I compiled the sane-frontends but xscanimage and xcam was not created.
I don't know what is missing in my system.
Only scanadf was created !!
Which package is missing?
By the way I informe people who help me that my AGFA SnapScan e20 work,
but the color red is not present: the image is blue

First, thanks to Olivier Schwartz for his previous response.
After having read the response of O. Schwartz,
1,2,3) I deleted all the files concerning SANE on my system with
the
command ( #find / -mount -iname "*sane*" -exec
rm -rf {} \; ) and the
files resting.
Then I reinstalled SANE wit
e screen. It was not
impossible to read the prompt after. I had to close the console !!!
*)If /dev/usb/scanner0 is my device, what have to be the permission of
scanimage, /dev/usb/scanner0, ...
*)With usbview, I saw the scanner.
My distrib is Mandrake 8.0
Kernel 2.4.16
If someone can show me
