Ariel,
finally I made your patch to work and compiled sane-backends with it. I am
using version sane-backends-1.0.15

this is great.! Congrats. Now, how about the NIKON LS-5000? I am waiting
for your driver so that I can start my project, hopefully. Any idea of
where you are at so far?
Hopefully the LS-5000 will work also with the same fixes, didn't check the
specs though,
Hi Ariel,
great news I hear.
Thank you for working on this. Please let me/us know when you are almost done.
I cannot wait to get this scanner to work, so that I can start my project.
Good work!
Spiro
Hi Ariel,
I was wandering how were you doing with this scanner. Any luck by receiving
the SDK fron Nikon?
thank you,
Spiro
So, I guess notody has a solution to this issue?
Where should I report this issue?
Thank you
Spiro

Hi,
I run Gentoo and anytime I boot my PC, I get this errors.
I did some research and discovered it is an issue related to sane.
Can anyone please see if there is a solution to this issue? I was not able to
come up with a good solution.
Here some specs of my PC:
- Linux mir 2.6.11-gentoo-r11
Greetings,
I tried to email directly the author of the Nikon sane project but never
obtained a reply. So, I try to post here with the hope to get an answer, if
possible (even from himself).
Between Nikon LS 4000 and LS 5000 there are major improvements that made me
choose the LS 5000.
Thank you very much Ariel!
Thank you for replying to my question too.
I am glad you are working on this scanner as I see more people needing your
assistance.
As for me, I am now very happy because the project I have to work on is very
big; it involved about 15000 pictures (35mm) and the
this is a test.
please do not reply.
Thank you,
Spiro
Hi,
Yes, correct. I was using another email address. I did send a test message and
went through fine.
So, this is resolved and sorry for the mistake.
Thank you,
Spiro

Hi,
Approaching 15000 pictures 35mm I wish to know, for those who already have the
scanner (I am thinking to purchase a Nikon LS 4000 or LS 5000) how is the
scanning process.
I explain better:
If I say I have 50 pictures to scan, how do you handle the scanning process?
Is it possible to scan
to
sane-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org and it gets posted?
Thank you so much for the help.!

Hi,
I also have an Epson Perfection 2400 scanner. While browsing around, I ended
up here: http://www.avasys.jp/english/linux_e/dl_scan.html It is a site with
software for Linux. The software is called iscan.
Has anyone heard of it? If so, has anybody installed on Gentoo?
Lastly, is this iscan
