Hello Rolf and list, Thank you for your reply. I read the latest README-linux from git, and couldn't find any problem in the installation. In the end, I got it working by commenting out all the drivers in the /etc/sane.d/dll.conf file except for 'pixma'. Your reply meant I didn't give up!
