OK, you have messed up your box by wildly installing rpm packages and
compile from source. At least that's what I consider it.
So, maybe you should just tell us what distribution you have and what you
are trying to achieve.
my hp 4370 scanner.
But I am not able to run my HP 5590 scanner. as the so file for 5590 is missing
in /usr/lib/sane, please let me know how to get that so file for 5590.

those machines
When I run the command scanimage -L on Terminal I get this output.
scanimage -L
