Your kernel-modules do not match your kernel. You need !exactly! the
same kernel config as Mandrake (your dist was MD?) used to build the
kernel. OR you do not only install the modules but ALSO install the
kernel module.

modprobe hpusbscsi works but not modprobe usbcore (is it integrated in the
kernel ?)
