Duration : 6+Months Contract Job Description: We are looking for a hands-on developer lead, not a business/data manager of the DW. The Tech lead will own part of the development effort, debugging, unit testing, documentation and deliverables. Be competent and responsive in supporting Oakwood IT initiatives of on-time and on-budget delivery, while maintaining high quality and demanding SLA standards. Lead a team of 4 developers, 1 dedicated QA resource, and 1 shared Business Systems Analyst, through: Maintenance and Production Support of the Data Warehouse, BO reports and BO Ad-hock reporting measures, utilized by 250+ users and sophisticated/demanding teams of Business Analysts. Architecture and universe design, BO Design, ETL Design, Implementation, Testing, Business Reporting Continuation, Deployment, and post-deployment support of BI initiatives. Supporting the team in implementing and tracking technical processes and procedures, as indicated by applicable best practices. Pro-actively assist the team in analyzing and providing solutions/options for resolving conflicting requirements, and/or conflicting design and architecture parameters, on the business side, the BI side, or the data source side. Support Oakwood Management by analyzing available technical solutions and options with the team, and providing appropriate level-of-effort and time duration estimates for approved BI initiatives, while supporting business scope deadlines, and priorities. Support the evaluation of capabilities, technical skill set, and team competences mix. TECH SKILLSET The technical skill set required matches the competencies expected from a BI team lead: Data Warehouse Architecture and Design experience Data Modeling experience, using ‘Erwin’ (standard tool) experienced w/ Business Objects, Universe design and reporting Multiple data sources, multiple universes experienced in ETL using ‘Informatica’ MGMT SKILL SET 2 to 5 years experience leading a technical Data Warehouse/BI team with a minimum staff of 3 resources. Minimum 7 years experience in BO related development.
