This position will collaborate with the various PM development and product management teams to establish realistic application modernization and integration plans for existing and newly acquired products to capitalize on current and new customer expectations. The incumbent will be responsible for communicating new product development application modernization and integration strategies to the product and development teams. The incumbent is also expected to maintain an appropriate balance between a vision for the future and the successful outcome of current projects. Qualifications: 1 BA or BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. 2. 7-10 years experience including product development. 3. Analytical problem solving skills 4. Experience with C++, .NET, MS SQL Server and related technologies in both desktop and web based applications involving design and troubleshooting in a Windows environment. 5. Ability to function within ambiguity and drive situations to clarity. 6. Excellent presentation skills 7. Excellent written skills. 8. Excellent technical know- how combined with business acumen 9. Able to communicate effectively with end users as well as product engineering. 10. Able to communicate effectively with senior management both internally and externally 11. Project coordinator skills. Accountabilities: 1. Understanding of all CLIENT US Small Law Practice Management product technologies and provide technology consulting services to senior engineering management as these products and technologies are integrated. This includes providing input on technical strategy development, strategic investment decisions and tactical translation of the strategy where newly acquired and existing products need to be integrated. 2. Responsible for the development and creation of a comprehensive application modernization strategy in support of the overall business direction that will accommodate the product integration needs as determined by working with product management and customers across all markets and geographies. 3. Responsible for managing and achieving application modernization and integration strategies through collaboration with management and technical teams. Provide management as appropriate for US Small Law Practice Management technologies to achieve strategic goals. 4. Key input into product strategy budgets. 5. Work closely with the management and the technical leads to target and pursue efforts that will maximize reuse and portability of underlying technologies utilized to deliver desktop and web products to customers. 6. In addition to the management team act as a technical conduit for new ideas to be evaluated and proposed for implementation. 7. Provide support for technical activities including technical assessments, architectural designs, prototyping, and other general consulting as needed. 8. Keep executive management informed of technical trends which impact the business and create opportunities both internal and external to CLIENT. 9. Act as a roving troubleshooter capable of being applied to mission critical issues that arise. This will require the ability to code and have a working understanding of the principal technologies being utilized to deliver desktop and web products across different groups. 10. Identify and manage the evaluation of potential technologies that could have a positive impact on the kind or speed with which products are engineered. 11. When acquisition targets are identified, participate in the technical due diligence process to evaluate technologies used and how they may be modernized as well as integrated with other PM products. 12. Active participation in technology organizations both inside and outside of CLIENT for networking and information gathering opportunities. 13. Participate in the budgeting process for the implementation of these application modernization and product integration strategies. 14. Build a strong network with CLIENT IT leadership to leverage knowledge, best practices and drive innovative thinking that would help grow the PM business globally. 15.
