Duration: 9 months+* ** *Years of Experience: 7 yrs with atleast 3 years in data warehouse data modeling Skill requirements / Work experience required:* - 5-7 years of work experience in data warehouse design& build out of which atleast 3 years hands-on experience in dataware house data modeling (ER/dimension). - Should have used Erwin Data modeling tool extensively. - Should have very good knowledge of conceptual data model and physical date model script generation and storage management for physical DB creation. - Preferably with good experience in dimensional modeling *Day-to-day roles & responsibilities: *- Work closely with business to understand data modeling requirements. Document , review and get client sign off for the same - Create conceptual data model that confirms with business requirement, walk thru with business team and get their agreement on design and standards - Understand existing data models, perform reverse engineering and recommend changes to existing models to suit new business requirements and get sign-off from business - Generate scripts for creating physical data model - Working with DBA and provide them all necessary inputs along with the scripts for physical creation of the data model - Work with business to define table storage space requirements, and other schema creation parameter required to create and manage data storage on an on going basis - Tune the data models to meet performance and referential constraints - Define and manage control tables and reference and house keeping tables to meet ongoing operational needs - Take over all responsibility for design of data model that meets Please send the updated resume of the consultant along with the rate, location and contact information.
