As a Project Manager, you will assist in the Project Management of IT systems development and support for International Transportation and Trade Compliance systems, in Distributed technologies. You will be leading teams that apply functional, systems and infrastructure solutions to meet business/technical requirements. You will be working closely with diversified virtual teams comprising of business users, enterprise team members, solution architects and IT project team from various regions to meet on-time and budget project goals. In addition, as Project Manager, apply project management body of knowledge such as Scope Management, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Risk Management, Communication Management and Change Management to software development life-cycle. Job Duties/Responsibilities includes, but not limited to: Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary. Responsibility for assembling the project staff for technical or functional development during the project execution phase. Manage project budget and resource allocation. Facilitate the definition of service levels and customer requirements. Interact regularly with stakeholders to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Follow a defined, agreed upon project management methodology to lead project team Continuously improve project management toolkits and methodologies. Builds coalitions among the various stakeholders, negotiates authority to move the project forward. Conveys goals and objectives clearly and in a compelling manner; listens effectively and clarifies information as needed; interprets verbal and non-verbal messages that others communicate; produces clear status reports; communicates tactfully and candidly. Ensures that project status, issues and successes are communicated to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, steering committee and all levels of management and documented appropriately. Motivates project team members to action. Identifies common themes, makes inferences and draws conclusions. Ensures open communication on the project team. Addresses delicate situations and handles conflicts in such a way as to maximize opportunity and minimize exposure to risk Act as a Single point of contact for business users for project. Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more 6 Sigma projects. *Education/Experience: Training in project management or project management related skills, such as Young & Clark and Associates or Project Management Institutes PMP certification. 7-8 years project management experience required.
