Position based in Minneapolis, MN Will require face to face interview Prefer local candidates This role is not the typical BA position.. It is more of a DA or BI role. Excellent Communication skills are mandatory… General overview of where this person will fit; assist goal setting across IT and drive improvements on data, dashboards, analysis, reporting, continuous improvement; team is two arms – reporting arm (where this person will be) – define and redefine reporting, data integrity, goals, working with BI, Cognos, Hyperion, SAS, Excel and other reporting tools, and SQL to get at data; really would like someone with experience in reporting and analytics, especially across various business units Minimum experience 5 years; this person will have some exposure and conversations with sr leadership; strong exec comm skills; communication very technical info to non-technical stakeholders is key No preference on tools (good question); starting at base level and want to develop reporting using tool that is best fit and don’t yet know what tool will be best fit; helpful if they have exposure/experience with more than one Experience with similar tools will be considered, but not desired, as those are their current tools Teradata is a big plus as that is their WH will be working closely with BI team who is expert on tools; they will help with tool. Documentation is less emphasized; execution is key (much of documentation is already done) The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical or scientific field, with 5+ years of IT and/or business experience or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training. Candidate will have the ability to work with large volumes of data from various data sources, strong MS Excel and SQL skills, experience with a variety of databases and structures, and experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Cognos, Hyperion, Tableau, SAS, and others. Previous experience in reporting and analytics supporting multiple business areas is strongly preferred. The Senior Business Analyst should exercise strong critical thinking skills and be comfortable working and communicating across all levels of Client’s IT Organization. Must be self-motivated, responsive, and detail oriented. Additionally, candidate must have the ability to deliver quality work on time in a fast-paced environment and successfully translate planning into action. *Responsibilities:* The Senior Business Analyst - Performance & Analysis is a skilled analyst responsible for delivering superior reporting and analysis in close coordination with Client IT Leaders and across IT departments. Duties include but are not limited to: Delivery of performance reporting on a stringent schedule. Promote consistency in the application of data to measure performance. Drive improvements in the visualization of data, including divisional and departmental dashboards. Work closely with Client’s Business Intelligence team to optimize tools and reporting performance. Assist in developing opportunities through data analysis to improve IT processes within operations, application development, and project management. Help develop reporting mechanisms used to measure key performance indicators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
