I am looking forward to hearing from you about any potential candidates you may have. · Duration: 6-12 months · Location: Windsor, CT *Oracle DBA 10 Years Minimum Exp required. * *RESPONSIBILITIES: * *Support and troubleshoot Oracle Database 11g single-node and clustered instances. *Support and troubleshoot database replication. *Implement and maintain database monitoring for high-availability and performance using Oracle Grid/Cloud control and other tools. *Address application performance issues and work directly with the application administrators *Respond to emergencies that require immediate attention including those that occur off hours *Attend and contribute to client and internal meetings addressing database questions and status *Create and/or assist in creation of design, configuration, and operational procedure documents and other project deliverables *Comply with project documentation standards *Understand work plan activities and provide accurate status on work completion *Estimate task time requirements and plan accordingly *REQUIREMENTS * *Experience configuring and troubleshooting replication and clustering, Oracle 11g preferred (e.g., DataGuard, RAC, ASM) *Experience performing database tuning and performance monitoring (Statspack/AWR/ADDM/SQLT/etc) *Experience installing, configuring and patching single-node and clustered databases. *Knowledge of backup and recovery scenarios including RMAN expertise. *Experience implementing and supporting Oracle on Linux and/or Solaris *Shell/Perl scripting is a plus but not required. *Experience with database change management *Ability to collaborate with members from a variety of support teams including the application, testing, configuration management, and system admin *Excellent oral and written communication skills *Ability to work independently on projects with minimal direction *Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player *Strong prioritization skills with a clear ability to communicate clearly and concisely --------------------------- Thanks & Regards Srikanth Acharya Kindly submit your consultant profile to above Email ID.
