*Title: Network/Firewall Engineer Location: Chesterfield, MO 63017 (preferred), Dallas TX, or Denver CO Duration: 6 month contract + possibility to extend Start: ASAP* *Must Haves:* 5+ years of firewall engineer experience 5+ years of working in a production environment Ability to control the firewall from the command line (create a policy, create a static route, create a zone, configure the interface) Knowledgeable of firewall debugging commands Understand the HA modes ( high availability operation, this keeps the firewall running with redundancy) Fortinet firewall experience Ability to troubleshoot cisco routers and switches, VLANS, VPN, and enterprise networks Ability to do latency testing, trace a mac address through a network, utilize packet analyzers *Plusses: *Checkpoint firewalls Cisco Ace firewalls F5 Load Balancer Operations experience Experience designing or re-designing a network *Role:* This person will be working as the Fortinet SME for an existing client of this company. They will be building out/designing a completely new firewall environment for them. They will be configuring applications and then testing them for connectivity to the customers’ host environment. After that they will be responsible for high level support of the environment.
