Position: Network Architect Location: Melville NY Duration: 6+Months Participates in the design, implementation, and integration of data and voice technologies to provide a stable and cost-effective data and voice network platform. Acts as Subject Matter Expert for all data and voice network based technologies. Provide expert advice in the area of network routing, switching, security controls, QoS, and voice communications. Perform technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, system integration for LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems with special emphasis on QoS implementation Practices and verifies consistent application of policies, standards and procedures for data and voice networks within assigned team Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Routing and Switching or Equivalent Industry Proficiency 5 Primary Skill sets QoS Architecture QoS Classifications Application marking (IP Precedence, DSCP) Application distribution into classifications Queuing policies Enforcement points within the network Resource can be anywhere in the US but should plan on travel to Vermont.
