(flexible depending on experience)* *Top Desired Skills: Data Analyst, EDI, SQL, Facets (big plus)* *Job Description:* *Required Experience:* · Relational database modeling concepts and practices · Strong knowledge of structured query language (SQL) · Experience in EDI ANSI X12 Standards (4010 & 5010 standards) both Inbound & Outbound (834, 270/271, 278, 837i/837p/837d, 276/277, 835, 820 & 997 and 999) Health Care Business Transaction processes *Essential Functions:* · Assume primary responsibility for all encounter data submissions to state and federal agencies on a timely basis, ensuring the quality of the data submitted meets, at a minimum, the various regulatory requirements. · Work with the Application Development team to ensure the accuracy of programs used to create encounter data submissions and that these programs are kept updated for the latest requirements (both CareSource requirements and regulatory). · Monitor and devise action plans to address encounter data that is either rejected by the agencies or delayed by CareSource prior to submission. · Work with Finance and various operational business owners to assure accuracy of encounter data and the working of exceptions to submissions that require additional input prior to the data being accepted. · Ensure Case Management data is submitted both timely and accurately to ODJFS and maintain systems to monitor the validity of the data submitted. · Design data models, as required, for systems utilized by CareSource. · Reverse engineer data models for existing databases and systems. · Develop and maintain detailed documentation that provides traceability for all enterprise data back to its source. · Actively participate in projects designed to create record of reference systems for key enterprise data. · Define and adhere to standard metadata naming conventions. *Desired Experience:* *Education:* - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience *Experience:* • Experience in the management of a large data project including responsibility for meeting deadlines, accuracy requirements and reporting to upper management. • Four or more years’ experience in application database development or data warehouse development. • Four or more years’ experience with the administration of data and/or experience as a data architect *Technical Skills: * - Proven understanding of database relationships - Expertise with Trizetto Facets Health Care enterprise system (Claims, Provider, Member), possibly Trizetto Hipaa Gateway application and Core EDI transaction processing - Data Mapping / Mining experience - SQL Experience - SAS experience is a plus **Again, The manager will not accept H1Bs.
