Department: Information Technology PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: With more than 13,000 global users on a clustered system located in North America and remotely managed by an outsourcing company, Pentair is looking for a SharePoint Administrator to administer the operations of the global SharePoint farm at the data center and ensure all proper procedures are followed and mitigate risk when possible,suggest go forward upgrade plans and provide support and maintenance assistance, along with advice regarding the overall SharePoint architecture. Several existing SharePoint farms are being integrated into the one North American based data center and the SharePoint Administrator will manage and operate those existing SharePoint farms and will actively work on migrating and/or integrating those farms into the central environment. Major Areas of Accountability: Govern the MOSS 2007 farm and monitor for compliance and adherence to standards. Provision and/or lead the creation of Web Applications, Site Collections, sites, web parts, SharePoint templates, Search setup, My Sites usage, Content and Records Management functionality, etc. Build simple to medium complex forms applications and work-flows using Infopath and SharePoint Designer. Monitor the SharePoint servers’ health and operations status. Provide overall guidance, advice, and support regarding MOSS application development. Travel Requirements and location: There are no travel requirements and this role is stationed in Golden Valley, MN. Minimum Qualifications Required: Experience with WSS, MOSS 2007, SQL Server 2000-2008, and all related technologies, e.g. IIS, InfoPath, Experience with Workflow solutions, e.g. Nintex and SPD, is a plus. Experience with MOSS 2010 or migrating to MOSS 2010 is a plus. Need to be able and communicate well with Business community. Supervision of others: This position does not supervise other roles; however, will work in a matrix setup with the existing Global Business Units’ SharePoint Administrators.
