MUST HAVE MORE THAN 9+ Years of EXPERIENCE *Business System Analyst - (Retail Merchandising)* *Location: Manhattan, NYC* *Duration: 6 months +* *Job Description:* This Business Systems Analyst has experience working with Retail business processes. Understands retail planning, merchandising and store operations. In this role you will analyze business needs and create IT concepts to implement new processes, solutions, applications and systems. You will also be responsible for providing application support by analyzing and solving application or configuration issues. *Expectations:* *Primary (Essential) Functions:* • Support Retail Merchandising and operational business processes • Integrate and implement new processes and solutions into existing system landscape • Analyze data across business departments using SAP supply chain modules SD, MM and FI • Provide application support by analyzing and solving application or configuration issues • Work with team members to design, develop and optimize cross-module functionality • Assist in business process sessions by gathering and documenting business requirements and workflows. • Support end user training sessions and workshops by creating/editing training documentation. • Create business test scripts and facilitate User Acceptance testing • Conduct testing on behalf of the business for system modifications and fixes • Maintain communication with the business on project statuses and issue resolution *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* • Good knowledge of SAP systems and processes with experience in supporting SAP systems and implementing and testing new processes. • Ability to interface with internal customer and IT Management and communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly • Good understanding of Retail Merchandising processes and related operational processes. • Experience with CRM and clienteling tools is a plus. • Ability to apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to solve business process and procedural problems • Ability to speak, write and understand in English; ability to use words meaningfully in communication, thinking and planning; ability to speak and present information and ideas to individuals or groups • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; ability to prioritize and manage commitments and adjust to changing priorities. *Qualifications:* • Minimum 3 years business experience in a similar role • Experience in SAP Retail. Experience in SAP AFS in addition would be a plus. • Very good analytical skills • Basic knowledge about system communication like IDOC/ALE and monitoring tools • Skilled in using applications to create/edit process flows, configuration, transports and decision trees • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. • While we value experience and education in candidates, we also look beyond just the skill set and try to find individuals with the right mix of experience, skill, values and, most importantly, potential and desire to perform at high levels.
