Job Title - SQL DBA Location – San Diego, CA Duration: 6+ Months Prefer who has recent Pharma experience. JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Plans, implements and supports small to mid-size information system projects within an application specialty. 2. Manages projects according to milestones. 3. Works with client management to identify and specify business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technologies and tools. 4. Researches and evaluates alternative information system and business process solutions. 5. Analyzes existing system and programming logic to provide more efficient computer operations or to identify difficulties, and revises the logic and procedures involved as necessary. 6. Modifies software programs and associated documentation, as needed, to correct errors identified during testing. 7. Modifies software programs and associated documentation, as needed, to meet changing user/business requirements. 8. Complies with company system development life cycle methodology and other related standards. 9. Provide support on the SQL Data Base administration. 10. Provide support to software validation activities. 11. Act as backup for the Application and Database area, as needed. 12. Provide support in any other area of responsibility as determined by supervisor and/or business needs. Comply and participate in Environmental Health & Safety programs and work with management to motivate/train employees to enforce a safe and healthful workplace. Requirements: University Degree or equivalent experience related to this position. Computer Skills English Knowledge (read, write, speak) Administrating and maintenance SQL database certified Systems audits Knowledge Systems security Knowledge Proficiency in at least one or two higher-level programming languages. IIS and Web applications knowledge.
