*Position:* QA Tester *Location:* Omaha, NE *Duration:* Long Term contract Here is a detailed job description, but if you have anyone please let me know. *A phone/Skype interview will be required, but face to face is not needed.* Candidate will be part of a quality assurance team which will be remote from the client and work as an extension of their team. Knowledge of QA processes is very important. The environment is manual testing for mainframe/unisys applications. Insurance industry background is a big plus. The project team will be required to travel to a Midwest location outside of Omaha for the first 30 days and then periodic visits to the client site are expected. Candidates must be able to commit to these travel requirements. -Understand project requirements -Develop detailed test cases for test phases (unit, system, integration, operational, performance, UAT, regression and deployment) and provide effort estimates (Deployment test cases should execute a subset of the application's regression scenarios to ensure new code and environment connections are working properly in the production environment) -Work closely with requirements and design teams to obtain or create test data for each test case -Verify that data is properly mapped and configured between applications/systems -Execute test cases for appropriate testing phase -Detect defects, logs defects and validate defect fixes -Work with BOS analysts and IT as necessary to perform testing and resolve defects as necessary -Ensure that each requirement is addressed in test cases and update the traceability matrix accordingly -Identify regression test cases to be executed as part of deployment testing -Perform smoke test (verify functionality) in the UAT environment if required -Update test execution log while working through test cases -Validate the system for meeting non-functional requirements -Communicate test results and any required program or specification changes -Test the entire system as one integrated unit for end to end business processes -Actively participate in test status and defect resolution meetings -Archive testing artifacts in a project repository -In the case of a roll-back, support the validation back to the previous software version -Manage testing schedule by assisting with testing estimates -Update test plans, if required -Coordinate with relevant teams to load or refresh test data and ensure communication -Coordinate with architects or other technical SMEs to design testing scenarios and analyze test results -Provide subject matter expertise and support as needed -Look actively for process improvements identified through problem solving processes or lessons learned -Support the development of working relationships with Plans and other key stakeholders -Mentor new hires as designated by team leads -Understands functionality of appropriate/assigned systems -Understands connectivity between systems Thanks & Regards, *Gaurav Seth* ITECS *IT & EBusiness Consulting Services Inc.* Ph: 516.499 6042 | Fax: 347 602 9084/866 515 6599 *gau...@itecsus.com* | www.itecsus.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP ABAP" group.
