· Analyze business requirements. May require extensive reading and research of documentation of previously developed EDIs or ALEs on other landscapes. · Design, Develop (configure and code), test EDIs and ALEs for multi-landscape environment to accommodate custom requirements and functionality. · Develop (configure and code) ALEs for multi-landscape environment (create distribution model, filters and conversion rules; configure Idoc reductions/extensions, code ABAP programs for User Exits and Extensions in SAP IDOC processing function module to accommodate custom requirement & functionality; use ABAP debug to assist in problem solving). · Configure standard Idoc error handling workflows (PD Orgs, partner profiles) · Use SAP solution manager for project documentation · Follow established strategies, standards, guidelines and procedures during all phases of the project. · Develop technical test cases; test the developed EDIs and ALEs (both unit and integration) and problem solve identified errors. Use ABAP debug to assist in problem solving · Participate in peer technical reviews. * Define batch jobs for Idoc processing. · Configure Output Determination, Partner Function and Message Control · Perform Idoc administration functions. · Understand the EDI implementation guides and drafting mapping specification for middleware development Skill Requirements * Ability to build strong working relationships with project teams and customers. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. * Experience in SAP ALE configuration (Distribution models, filters, conversion rules) * Experience in SAP EDI configuration * Experience working with SAP IDocs – extensions, reductions, IDoc processing function modules, Trading Partner configuration, IDoc batch job processing * Experience to understand the EDI implementation guides and drafting mapping specification for middleware development * Experience in the SD process areas.
