Job Description – Mainframe System Administrator Location: Omaha, NE USA Contract to hire: (after 3 – 6months) ONLY GC/USC *Desired Experience:* At least, 10-12 years overall with at least last 3 years working in similar capacity *Required Skills:* Mastery knowledge of IBM z/OS Operating System. Monitor z/OS resources (CPU, memory, disk) Expert knowledge of mainframe tools/utilities and software (JES2, VTAM, CICS, DB2, Automation) employed as part of problem troubleshooting Considerable knowledge on automation & optimization in the mainframe space Knowledge of REXX and other mainframe scripting languages Knowledge of monitoring tools used in mainframes – BEM (BMC Product), SYSView Knowledge of CA-7 for batch scheduling Very strong communication skills – co-ordination, verbal & written communication.
