Client is looking for someone with between 6 and 12 years of experience
total who has been a java developer and is now more of a DevOps engineer…
Below are the requirement details.

The Contractor will provide development and implementation of distributed
data grid architecture design/ patterns and support the Java/GemFire
environment:
• The analysis, design, development, test, and implementation of
In-Memory-Data-Grid (IMDG) solutions to meet business and technical
requirements
• Provide maintenance and operational support to Client’s Data Caching
Service
• Make recommendations or contribute to the Data Caching architecture,
requirements, test automation, and release management.
• Working with development team toward use cases and design patterns that
uptake the benefits of the Spring and/or Pivotal stack
• Review and provide knowledge transfer regarding the capabilities, usage
and best practices of IMDG, Java / Spring to DCS engineering and
operational support team

• What applications/systems will the contractor work on? Data Caching
Service – DCS v3.x, utilities, and future releases

• Must have’s skills?

Skill and ability to define and direct creative solutions utilizing
functional information and technical architecture requirements. Technical
Lead, Software Development, Operational Support and System Administration
Experience in shell scripting on Linux. Very familiar with UNIX
environment, especially SUSE Linux v11 or 12
Automation of testing. JUnits based on spring framework.
Strong experience with Spring framework and Maven, Jenkins and Jenkins
integration for testing
Should be able to understand troubleshooting JVM issues
Able to do production support, development, test, and implement/deploy.
Job scheduling on Unix; similar to AutoSys or cron
Willing to learn new open source technologies rapidly and a self-starter
Experience with In memory or NoSQL databases such as Gemfire, Terracotta or
MongoDB is a plus.

• Preferred skills, but not required?
Technical Project Lead and solution architecture experience is a plus.

• Years of relevant experience?
At least 6 years of continued work and skill progression

The Contractor will provide development and implementation of in-memory
data grid architecture design/ patterns and support the GemFire
environment:

*The analysis, design and architecture of IMDG solutions to meet Data
Caching Service requirements
* Provide development and implementation solutions to Fannie Mae’s Gemfire
and assist with design requirements
* Establishing standards and procedures to govern the enterprise-wide
roll-out of the Fannie Mae systems
* Making recommendations on Data Caching project architecture, requirements
and complexity
* Providing best practices workshops, to designated Fannie Mae personnel,
as they apply to the proposed architecture
* Working with Fannie Mae’s Gemfire development team toward strategies and
patterns that uptake the benefits of the Spring and/or Pivotal stack
* Review and provide knowledge transfer regarding the capabilities, usage
and best practices of IMDG, Java / Spring to Fannie Mae engineering and
operational support team
