*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** Web Application Tester Location : Houston TX Duration : 3+ Months Contarct Responsibilities: This individual will primarily perform software testing as part of a software development lifecycle - develop test plans, create test data, manage and execute test plans, track progress and defects, and report status…… Develop time and cost estimates, test approaches, test cases, plans, test data, for system, integration, regression, compatibility, and performance test phases of web projects and other online software development efforts. Documentation of expected and actual results Track and report status on all defects through to closure Track progress and report on status of test execution against plan Regularly report status and raise issues/risks as appropriate. Anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks while eliminating roadblocks within control. Effective communication with project team, customers and sponsors. Collaborate with team members and operational groups to identify and prioritize/reprioritize work when necessary. Develop strong working relationships with individuals at all levels of company, operations, and IT applications and infrastructure teams. Manage relationship with test software vendors as well as professional service providers. Mandatory Skills/Experience: Minimum of three years experience as a software development tester – first consideration will be given to candidates that have SAP rate testing experience. Knowledge and practical experience of Software Quality and Testing including HP Quality Center, Quick Test Pro, WinRunner Demonstrable experience testing web applications on UNIX and Microsoft platforms. Demonstrable experience creating and editing test automation scripts in Visual Scripting languages Experience testing on major commercial web browsers including Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, FireFox Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university (Computer Science, MIS, or Engineering preferred). Ability to work with vendors providing online content and services Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in order to provide appropriate cross functional support and interaction. Ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously. Ability to prioritize workload. Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills required.
