The UID should be a great team player, a user advocate, and will have researched, designed, specified, prototyped, or evaluated UI designs* *Skills:* Wireframing, Joint Applicaiton Design (JAD) sessions, User Centered Design (UCD), Storyboarding, Transactional Application Design, Usability Design, Content Management Systems (CMS) *Basic Skills / Experience: * 1) Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as human factors, psychology, human computer interaction, user interface design, etc. 2) At least *4 years* of experience in a *web development* environment 3) Fundamental understanding of user centered design *(UCD)* activities and principles 4) Experience with gathering requirements and translating them into designs 5) Proven ability to organize information 6) Proven ability to produce *storyboards*, screen flows, and *wireframes *7) Ability to articulate and defend solutions 8) Ability to work with people who are geographically disbursed 9) Experience with information design tools, for example Visio 10) Fundamental understanding of web technologies *Preferred Skills / Experience:* 1) Experience with transactional application design 2) Experience with design methodologies 3) Experience working with diverse groups and formulating solutions based on competing requirements 4) Experience with user research methods and activities 5) Experience with usability testing 6) Experience with content management systems 7) Experience with web portals 8) Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications 9) Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 10) Strong organizational skills 11) Is a collaborative team player *Req # 2)* Fixed Income Front Office BA/IA-User Experience ability Location: NYC Duration: 6 months Start : ASAP Rate: Open, but best 1.
